29/12/2011 - Under New Ownership.

Hi guys, thanks for taking the time to read our blog, I doubt that it will be a very busy blog as I'm sure discussing PAT testing is not a subject of daily interest!

Anyway, without any further a-do, I would like to use this first post to thank the previous owners of Harborough PAT for their stalwart-esque work in setting up and supporting this business through it's infancy, they have done a fine job in creating a refined, loyal client base capable of supporting a small, part-time business, I very much hope that we can build on this by developing into a full-time profitable concern.

I would also like to thank our existing clients for their custom and I look forward to speaking with all of our new clients over the coming months.

FACT: The Electricity at Work Regulations* place a legal responsibility on all employers and self-employed persons to comply with the provisions of the regulations and take reasonably practicable steps to ensure that no danger results from the use of any electrical equipment in their care. This in effect requires the implementation of a systematic and regular program of maintenance, inspection and testing. The Health & Safety at Work Act (1974) places such an obligation in the following circumstances:

1. Where appliances are used by employees

2. Where the public may use appliances in establishments such as hospitals, schools, hotels, shops etc
3. Where appliances are supplied or hired
4. Where appliances are repaired or serviced.
